Most of my tutorials are written using PTU art and scrapkits! That however should not stop you from trying them. I understand not everyone can buy scrapkits and/or art but there are tons of FTU artist and freebie scrapkits that you can use. I only write tutorials as a guide. What YOU do with them is up to your imagination

All Tutorials have been written in PSP 8. They are just a guideline on how to make a tag look a certain way and do not have to be followed word for word!

2011 Template 11

This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP
It was written using PSP 8 but can be done in other versions

Supplies:
Tubes of Choice
*I am using the gorgeous work of Keith Garvey. These tubes were purchased when he was still with MPT but you can now find his tubes at PTE*

Iced Platinum Scrap Kit

Fonts of Choice

Lets Get Started:
1). Open all supplies
Resize if you need to
Shift + D to duplicate the template
Close the original
Delete the copyright layer off the duplicate

2). On the Template
Make your SR1 layer active
Select All
Float
Defloat
Copy and paste your paper of choice as a new layer
Invert
Delete
Select None
*Do these same steps for the LC1 SC1, SC2 and SR2 layers changing papers as you go*

3). Make your wordart layer active
Select All
Float
Defloat
*You can chose to either fill it with a solid color or use a paper of choice*
Select None

4). Make your LC layer active
Select All
Float
Defloat
Copy and paste your closeup tube of choice as a new layer
Position where you like it
Invert
Delete
Select None

4). Duplicate your closeup
On the ORIGINAL apply a Xero Porcelin with the settings of your choice
On the DUPLICATE apply a Gaussian Blur of 5
Make the Blend Mode on the DUPLICATE set to Soft Light

5). Copy and paste yoru tube of choice
*I duplicated and applied a Gaussian Blur of 5 then changed the Blend Mode to Soft Light*

6). Add any embellishments you want to make the tag your own

7). Resize as needed

8). Add all copyright information and any license information needed

9). Add your name
Save in your desired format

ALL DONE!

Lets Get Started:
1). Open all Supplies
Resize as you see necessary
Shift + D on the template to duplicate and close the original
Delete the copyright layer

2). Make your LR layer active
Select All
Float
Defloat
Copy and paste your paper of choice
Invert
Delete
Select None
Delete the original shape layer
*Do these same steps for your circle 1 and circle 2 layers changing papers for each layer*

3). Make your Circle 2 layer active again
Select All
Float
Defloat
Copy and paste a tube of your choice
Position where you want it
Invert
Delete
Select none

4). Duplicate your tube layer
On the DUPLICATE add a Gaussian Blur of 5
Change the blend mode to Soft Light
On the ORIGINAL tube layer use the Xero Porcelin filter adjusting the settings to fit your tube

5). Copy and paste another tube of your choice

6). Add any embellishments you would like to make the tag your own

7). Resize as you see fit

8). Add all copyright and any applicable license information

9). Add your name
Save in your desired format

Change the Blend Mode on the duplicate to Soft Light or a setting you choose

5). Add any elements you want to make the tag your own

6). Add the copyright info and any license info if necessary

7). Add your name
Save in your desired format

Lets Get Started:
1). Open all your supplies
Shift + D to duplicate the template
Close the original
Remove the copyright layer

2). On your template make the Heart layer active
Select All
Float
Defloat
Copy and paste your paper of choice
Invert
Delete
Select None

3). Make your Rectangle layer active
Select All
Float
Defloat
Copy and paste your image as a new layer
Invert
Delete
Select None

4). Duplicate your image
On the ORIGINAL image layer I applied a Xero Porcelin
*I played around with the settings until I was happy*
On the DUPLICATE give it a Gaussian Blur of 5.00 and change the blend mode to soft light

5). Add the elements you want from your kit
*There are a TON of gorgeous elements in this kit and a huge amount of possibilities. I chose the elements I wanted and when I got them placed where I wanted them I added a Xero Porcelin to some of them*

6). Resize if you want

7). Add all copyright and any license information needed

8). Add your name
Save in your desired format

2). On the template delete the copyright layer
Make the heart layer active
Select All
Float
Defloat
Copy and paste your paper of choice
Invert
Delete
Select None
*You may choose to do these same steps for the Lines layer but I chose to leave them gray*

3). Make your Rectangle layer active
Select All
Float
Defloat
Copy and paste your Image of choice
Invert
Delete
Select None

4). Duplicate the image
On the ORIGINAL image layer use the Xero Porcelin filter with the default settings
*You may have to play with this depeneding on your image*
On the DUPLICATE layer add a Gaussian Blur of 5
Change the Blend Mode on your DUPLICATE layer to Soft Light
*Again you may have to play with this setting depending on your image*

5). Add any embellishments you want
*I chose to keep the tag simple and keep the image the main focus*

6). Resize if you want to

7). Add all copyright and any license information needed

8). Add your name
Save in your desired format

Lets Get Started:
1). Open all supplies
Shift + D to duplicate the template
Close the original
Delete the copyright layer on the duplicate

2). Make the Rectangle layer active
Select All
Float
Defloat
Copy and paste your paper of choice
Invert
Delete
Select None
*Do these steps for SS 1 and SS 2. You can also do this for the Large Circle layer but it isn't really necessary unless you are using a tube instead of an image*

3). Make your Large Circle layer active
Select All
Float
Defloat
Copy and Paste your image of choice
Invert
Delete
Select None

4). Duplicate your image layer
On the duplicate add a Gaussian Blur of 5.00
Change the blend mode to Soft Light
*On the ORIGINAL image layer I applied the Xero~Porcelin plugin. I just played around with the settings until I liked the results. I thine changed the opacity on the blurred layer to around 85*

5). Add any embellishments you would like from the kit to make the tag your own

6). Resize the tag now if you are going to

7). Add all copyright information and any license information needed

8). Add your name
Save in your desired format and you are all done!

Supplies:
6-8 Tubes of Choice from the same artist
*I am using the fantastic artwork of Jessica Galbreth. You MUST have a licences to use these same tubes*

Feeling Grungy
*This is a gorgeous scrap kit by DigiMania. You can purchase this kit (and all her others) at I Got Lucky Skraps*

Lets Get Started:
1). Open all supplies in PSP
Shift + D to duplicate the template
Close the original

2). Delete the copyright layer off the template
Make your Circle 1 layer active
Select All
Float
Defloat
Copy and paste your paper of choice as a new layer
Invert
Delete
Select None
*Do these same steps with your Circle 2 layer and your Rectangle layer changing papers for each shape*

3). Make your Rectangle layer active
Copy and paste your tubes of choice and arrange them until they look the way you want them on the canvas
Once you have them arranged hide ALL your layers EXCEPT the tube layers
Right click and Merge Visible
Make your Rectangle layer visible again
Select All
Float
Defloat
Invert
Make your Tube layer active again and delete the part hanging over your rectangle
*Make sure your tube layer is ABOVE the paper layer you have on your rectangle*
Select None

4). Make your merged tube layer active
Duplicate
On the duplicate use the Gaussian Blur set at 5
Change the blend mode to Soft Light

5). Make your original merged tube layer active again
Select all
Float
Defloat
Copy and paste another paper of your choice
Invert
Delete
Select None
Move the paper ABOVE the duplicate tube layer but below the Lines layer
Change the blend mode to Overlay
*You may have to play with this setting depending on your tubes. I lowered the opacity of my top layer to about 80*

6). Add any embellishments you would like

7). Resize if you feel necessary

8). Add all copyright and any license information needed

9). Add your name
*I added a Gradient Glow and a slight dropshadow to make the name stand out*

10). Save in your desired format and you are done

*I am using Pixel Arial 11, Georgia and P22 Ruthie*

Lets get Started:
1). Open all supplies
Shift +D on the template
Close the original
Delete the Copyright layer

2). Make Circle 1 active
Selections All
Float
Defloat
Copy and Paste your paper as a new layer
Invert
Delete
Select None
*Do these same steps for Circle 2, Rectangle, Heart 1 and Heart 2*

3). Make your Heart 1 layer active again
Selections All
Float
Defloat
Copy and paste your image of choice as a new layer
Invert
Delete
Select None
* I duplicated the image layer and did a Gaussian Blur on it set at 5. I set that layers blend mode at Soft Light. I then duplicated the paper layer and moved it on top of the image layers and changed the blend mode of my top paper layer to Overlay. You will have to work with the settings to see what works best for you*

4). Make your Heart 2 layer active again
Selections All
Float
Defloat
Copy and paste your image of choice as a new layer
Invert
Delete
Select None
* I duplicated the image layer and did a Gaussian Blur on it set at 5. I set that layers blend mode at Soft Light. I then duplicated the paper layer and moved it on top of the image layers and changed the blend mode of my top paper layer to Overlay and lowered the Opacity to about 35. You will have to work with the settings to see what works best for you*

5). Now is the time to add any elements you want to make the tag your own
*I added some elements out of the kit and some word art of my own to go with the images*

6). Resize the tag if you feel it necessary

7). Add all copyright and any license info you need

8). Add your name
Save in your desired format
